We have two specific needs for volunteers at the moment:
Visuals Team and Sound Team
Our Visuals and Sound teams ensure that our congregations can see and hear everything they need to in our services. There is currently a shortage of volunteers in both teams. Could you help?
Full training will be given so please complete this form if you are interested in finding out more.
Kids Team
The number of children coming to Highfield Kids is continuing to grow which is incredibly exciting! This means we're looking for more people to join the HF Kids team and come alongside these children as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. We are particularly short of team in Gems, our group for 2-3 year olds and our Tiddlywinks (Friday) teams. If you would like to find out more, please email Hemi at children@highfield.church.
YTH Team
Joining the YTH team means being welcomed into the YTH family! It's such a joy to come alongside young people as they grow in their discipleship to Jesus and work with a fun and supportive team. We meet on Fridays for YTH Friday Night where we host small group nights, worship nights and socials, and on Sundays we gather for YTH CHRCH at 10:30am - a service for all but aimed at young people. If you'd like to find out more then get in touch with one of the YTH team at hello@ythchrch.co.uk
Visuals and Sound Teams
Are you interested to know the mechanics behind a Sunday service? Do you want to learn how to level a band or operate the vision mixer?
Our visuals and sound teams help run Sunday services as well as making Highfield Online possible for our online congregations. Training is provided for all new team members - we'd love you to join us, just email Rhiannon at worshippastor@highfield.church
Open House
Last year we believe that God asked us to create an ‘Open House’ to receive our neighbours, whether they are passers by, strangers, or friends. We are now preparing to open the doors once again for the new autumn term: 9am - 11.30am Monday - Thursday & 2.30-4.30pm Monday - Wednesday.
We’d love to hear from anyone in our church family who’d like to be part of offering hospitality and healing to those around us through our Open House. Perhaps you have the gift of hospitality, intercession or evangelism? There are many ways to get involved; serving in the pop up cafe, collecting food from Big Difference, supporting the food hub, creating prayer resources in the sacred space, talking to visitors, praying onsite, prayer walking within our local community, or supporting Alpha in Open House on Tuesday evenings (kitchen or front of house team). If you would like to find out more about any of the roles or to offer some time to Open House, please click here to complete this simple form.
Sunday Hospitality
Who doesn't love catching up over a tea or coffee? If you can be a friendly face and have a heart to serve then we'd love you to join the hospitality team at Highfield!
This would involve coming 30 mins before the service to prepare the hospitality area and make the coffee flasks in advance, and then after the service, serve drinks and be a friendly face. If you could then clear up and leave the hospitality area as you found it, ready for the next service, that would be amazing.
We'll rota two people for each service each week meaning there'll be two of you on hand to make it run smoothly! To register your interest please complete this form.
Flower Team
Do you appreciate the flowers in Church? We are looking for volunteers to help with arranging flowers in the church to help make the church a lovely and welcoming place. No experience is necessary, and it is not difficult to do. It would only involve about an hour, once or twice a term.
If you are interested or want to find out more, contact Sheila Fox on sheilafox54@gmail.com
If you would like to get involved in another not listed here, please fill out this form.
