Ukraine 800 days later - is there still hope? An evening with David Bute
Do join us in the Church for coffee, tea and traybakes at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start
No charge for entry, fine to turn up on the night (though if you know you are coming do book here)
Why not break out your blue and yellow clothing, and come dressed in the Ukrainian colours?
Originally from England, for the last 25 years David has been living in Ukraine, married to Katya, a true Ukrainian. They started a ministry called Kreativity, where the focus was, and is, setting up profitable businesses to fund ministry projects, with the ultimate aim of starting a new movement of the gospel that will bring hope, healing and transformation.
When the full-scale invasion of Ukraine started in February 2022, without hesitation they stayed, with their three children and a team of nearly sixty Ukrainians, determined to continue sharing God’s love to those experiencing the destruction, displacement and death of the war.
Now, nearly 800 days later, their work continues, with a focus on a new organisation called Refectio, providing trauma care and training, with a goal of helping one million Ukrainians.
David is visiting Great Britain in May to share their vision, to pass on the gratefulness of Ukrainians, to tell stories of hope, and to encourage more prayer for a country literally fighting for survival right now.
Join him at 7.15pm on 15 May in the church to receive a unique perspective of life and war in Ukraine, and the blessings and challenges of sharing Jesus with those who have lost everything.
