Vacancy for a Worship Pastor

We have a vacancy for a Worship Pastor to join our staff team at Highfield.

You have been gifted with AMAZING Worship skills!

You are PASSIONATE about inspiring people to worship God through music!

Maybe you are working in a church already and need a new challenge?

Or maybe you are leading music in another context and want to use your fervour in developing new worship leaders for the Lord?

Or maybe you have just finished your musical qualifications and looking for where God wants you?

We are a thriving evangelical Anglican Church and you can be the person who can help us fulfil God's vision for our community. We have agreed to become a church-planting church, a Resource Church, aiming to plant a church every three to four years. Rising to that challenge will require us to develop many more leaders than ever before, particularly among our worship teams.

We need you to be part of this ambition for God. Your role would be to lead worship in our contemporary services and to raise and release other worship servants and worship leaders.

Raising new worship leaders is a key task, as is using music as a tool in the mission.

For us to be right for you, your personal Christian faith should be consistent with those of Highfield Church and you are willing to become part of the Highfield Church Family – we want you to be happy and settled with us!

For you to be right for the role we have, we need you to have:

  • Clear evidence of significant musical training
  • Experience of and fruitful involvement with leading worship in various contexts
  • Significant technical skill with at least one musical instrument commonly used to lead in contemporary, band-led worship (e.g. keyboard or guitar)
  • Significant skill in singing and harmonising to lead well in worship services
  • Clear leadership gifting and proven fruitfulness in raising and developing worship servants and leaders

We're offering a starting salary of c. £24-26,000 p/a depending on your experience as well as a contributory pension scheme. This role is a fixed two-year contract that we aim to renew, 40 hours per week with varied daytime, evening and weekend work - initially we'll talk to you about spending 25% of your time on some other areas of our Church work.

Are we for you? Are you for us? Is this God bringing us together?
