AN INTRODUCTION
The church exists by mission as fire exists by burning - Emil Brunner
Jesus’s Great Commission to us is to “go and make disciples of all nations…”. With so many in our country and in our world living without Christ, there is clearly still much for us to do! Significant numbers of people from the congregation of Highfield Church continue to be called into mission, both locally and overseas, and we seek to engage meaningfully with them throughout their service, whether for a week or two, or over many years.
We currently support 15 Mission Partners: 5 based overseas and 10 locally, each working to meet different situations with practical help and the love of Jesus. Download our brochure here to read about each one.
As well as financial support, we encourage prayer for all our Mission Partners and are keen for people to get involved where possible. Our Mission in Action (MiA) group keeps us connected with each partner and oversees the budget that is given to support them. To hear the latest updates from our partners, simply sign up to receive our weekly e-news or pick up paper copies of their newsletters from the back of church on Sundays. To find out more about how to get involved on a practical level, please contact the Church Office; they'll connect you with the Link Person that keeps in touch with the Partner you are interested in supporting.
